Founded in Reims in 1851 by Charles-Camille Heidsieck, the house became one of the great names of Champagne, famous for its bold, generous style. Its Brut Réserve is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier from many crus, enriched with an unusually high proportion of reserve wines and long aging on the lees, which gives it remarkable depth and creaminess.
Tasting notes: Golden in the glass with a fine, persistent mousse. Aromas of toasted brioche, almond and ripe orchard fruit lead to a round, creamy palate with notes of dried fruit and a hint of spice. Rich yet fresh, with a long, elegant finish.
Pairing: Perfect as an aperitif, with oysters, sushi, fried appetizers or aged cheeses. Serve well chilled at 45–50°F.
